T.I.P. (Trauma-Informed Parenting) is providing this information so you know what data we hold about you, why we collect it, and how we protect your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your details may be transferred to third-party providers and stored there, e.g., for events, surveys, and e-newsletters. We only use third-party systems that we have assessed to ensure your data remains secure.

We collect your contact details, organisational information, and information related to events and services offered by T.I.P.
How Do We Process Your Personal Data?
T.I.P. complies with its obligations under GDPR by:
Keeping personal data up to date.
Storing and disposing of it securely.
Not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data.
Protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, and disclosure.
Implementing appropriate technical measures to safeguard personal data.
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
To provide the Facebook group and support group services.
To administer training session records.
To maintain our own accounts and records.
To operate the T.I.P. website and deliver the services requested by individuals.
To inform individuals of news, events, activities, or services run by T.I.P. and related areas.
To facilitate networking groups.
To connect members with external parties, only when permitted by a member.
To contact individuals via surveys to gather opinions on current and potential new services.
What Is the Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data?
Depending on the activity, your data will be processed based on one of the following conditions: legitimate interest, legal obligation, or your consent, as outlined below.
GDPR Article 6 (1)(a) – Consent of the data subject
We will only email you about our events, services, and opportunities relevant to T.I.P. and our activities, or call registered numbers, if we have your explicit consent to do so. We may send you postal mail unless you have opted out.
GDPR Article 6 (1)(c) – Processing necessary for compliance with a legal obligation
If you have made a charitable donation to T.I.P., we will process your name, address, and donation details under Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR for the purpose of administering your donation.
GDPR Article 6 (1)(f) – Necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests
We will hold data related to any activity you participated in as a T.I.P. member, including your name, activity details, and dates of attendance under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR for the purpose of monitoring our activities and providing you with information such as attendance and participation records.
Sharing Your Personal Data
Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with your consent in relation to T.I.P. activities, with:
Other T.I.P. members.
Recognised T.I.P. partners and stakeholders.
External agents contracted by T.I.P., such as Eventbrite and SurveyMonkey.
We will not disclose your data to third parties without your consent, except where they are acting as authorised agents for T.I.P. for the above purposes, or where we are permitted or required to do so by GDPR.
How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Data?
We will not retain your personal data for longer than one year.
Your Rights and Your Personal Data
Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights concerning your personal data:
The right to request a copy of your personal data held by T.I.P.
The right to request that T.I.P. correct any personal data if it is inaccurate or out of date.
The right to request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for T.I.P. to retain it.
The right to withdraw your consent to processing at any time.
The right to request that T.I.P. provide your personal data and, where possible, transmit it directly to another data controller (right to data portability).
The right to request restriction of processing where there is a dispute regarding accuracy or use of the data.
The right to object to the processing of personal data (where applicable).
The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
The right, if your personal data is transferred outside the EU, to receive details of how it will be protected.
Will My Data Be Used for Automated Decision-Making?
No.
Further Processing
If we intend to use your personal data for a new purpose not covered by this Data Protection Notice, we will provide you with a new notice explaining the new use before processing and outlining the relevant purposes and conditions.
Where necessary, we will seek your prior consent for the new processing.
